Have you ever put yourself such a popular question: what is your ideal weight? Or, perhaps, is your current weight much higher than it should be from the medical point of view? Of course, if you spend the whole day with your computer at the table, it is too easy to gain extra unnecessary weight. In case you are fighting with your kilos, even though it sounds funny, Microsoft Excel can make you a good turn with this task. In order to decide on my ideal weight, I created Excel Weight Loss Tracker that helped me to follow my weight loss program. Here I am going to tell you how I managed to fulfill this. Ultimately, you will be able to set up your own weight loss tracker in Excel and utilize it with the intention of shedding extra fat.
Body mass index
Frankly speaking, the most effective weight management that I have ever used is the Body Mass Index. This system allows you to calculate your own BMI which depends on your height in inches and your weight in pounds. Interestingly, there is Center for Disease Control which deals with weight problems as well and that has managed to create the table for the Underweight, Normal, Overweight and Obese with their appropriate and established BIM. According to this center the normal Body Mass Index looks like 18.5 to 24.99 range. If you want to calculate your own BIM, you are to use the next formula: Weight / (Height x Height) x 703
Calculating BMI in Excel
In order to make the calculation of your Body Mass Index you should in cell B2 type your height in inches, then in B3 – your weight in pounds and finally in B4 – the following formula =B3/ (B2*B2)*703. If the result is something between 18.5 and 24.99, do not worry, as your Body Mass Index is normal and cannot cause any health difficulties and is not hazardous to your organism according to the Center for Disease Control. Besides, it is possible to determine your highest weight appropriate for the emotional and physical well-being. For this you need in cell B5 type =24.99*(B2*B2)/703.
Tracking your weight loss
Amazingly, Microsoft Excel is the perfect system for registering data including your every day weight as well. For the beginning you should type the list of date in D. afterwards, weekly you will be weighting yourself and writing your weight results in column E. With the intention to calculate your total weight loss at the end of the week, you must enter special formula in cell F. look here, if your first result is in the column E2 and the second – in the E3, then you should enter the formula in F3: =E3-E2.
